Social Networking Sites
April 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I’m always up for trying new things, so when I was invited to two social networking sites, I figured it would be fun to try them out. There’s a lot of these out there now, and as of this moment, I’m only on two.
The first one that I joined was Tagged. My mom was invited to join by one of her friends from work, and became totally addicted to it. My mom invited everyone on her e-mail list to join, and of course I’m on her e-mail list
, so I got myself a tagged account and decided to see what it was like. It’s pretty fun and easy to use. All of the space around your page can be filled easily with anything you want, by way of widgets. You just create a new widget and drag it to where you want to put it. Then you fill it with text or html (which you can easily get from their suggestions, or from anywhere else on the internet that offers trinkets for your pages). The only thing that I don’t like about this site is that it is full of ads. Some of the ads are created to look like part of the tagged site, so it is very easy to click on an ad thinking that you are using one of Tagged’s features. That is my absolute pet peeve when it comes to internet advertising. It’s really dishonest, and I wish companies would stop doing this. When all is said and done though, Tagged is still a lot of fun, and I’ll likely use it often since my Mom is always on tagged, and she loves sharing little images that she finds with me.
Yesterday, I signed up for MySpace. My mom ran into my cousin, and she gave my mom her MySpace name and asked that she and I contact her through MySpace. My mom already had a MySpace account, but I hadn’t yet set one up for myself, so I did it yesterday. MySpace isn’t as easy to use as Tagged, but it isn’t as chuck full of ads, which is a big plus in my book. It also has a lot of really cute features, such as the music player that can be themed to display a girl bobbing her head along with the music that you choose for your page. I’m a sucker for cute little things like that.
Both sites offer blogging abilities, but I doubt that I’ll use them much, as I really enjoy blogging here.![]()

Getting back to exercise
April 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I haven’t been exercising like I should lately, but my mom and I had agreed that we would both start back up again on April 1. The first day we both did well, but I got sick after that and I haven’t exercised since. I am feeling a lot better now, so today I am going to get back into the thick of it.
We bought the Richard Simmons Sweatin’ to the Oldies DVD collection, and they are great! They are high energy workouts with fun moves and include people who have as much of a lack of coordination as I do.![]()
